Like many artists I have traveled through different periods, moods and phases in my artwork. My earlier works were photographic in nature — self portraits, still life images and social commentary pieces aimed at making a statement.

You can call it a mellowing with added years or just plain old “growing up” — but my artwork has become more user friendly over time. Much of my work still makes people think — but it has a playful, fun side to it as well.

Life is challenging and, on the whole, we are too stressed out. We often forget to look at the lighter side of things. We NEED to laugh! My work is aimed at just that.

I’m a Buffalo native and a graduate of the State University College at Buffalo. My work ranges from hand colored black and white photographs, to polymer clay and ceramics, and most recently paintings in acrylics. Somehow I manage to mix these materials up in my work so I’m comfortable with the tag: mixed media artist.

I’ve sold my work through galleries, shops and art festivals for over 15 years and am happy to say that my work is held in numerous collections throughout the United States.
