  1. Dear Alison,

I am the proud owner of one of your works and I am also the Director of Communications and Development for Jericho Road Community Health Center, a global health care provider based on the Westside (www.jrchc.org).

In 2015, we opened a life-saving health clinic in Sierra Leone that is now caring for almost 100 patients a day. This clinic was built by Buffalonians in the midst of the Ebola Crisis when the world was telling people not to come to the country Jericho Road sent people because it was the right thing to do.

This year we will be opening a clinic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to care for children and teenagers whose lives have been traumatized by poverty, war, and terrorism.

In addition, we have two Buffalo-based clinics that see almost 60,000 patient visits a year and we manage the largest homeless shelter for asylum seekers in the United States.

In June, at the Adam’s Mark Hotel, we will be holding our annual Global Gala to raise moneys for our African clinics. More than 450 leaders from the community will be in attendance. One of our means of raising moneys is a quality raffle and that is why I am reaching out to you.

Our raffle will feature donations with a value of $50 or more primarily from Buffalo businesses. As a 501 (c)(3) any donation has positive tax benefits for the business in addition to supporting Jericho’s work.

I would be thankful if you would donate a work of art to our Global Gala. Of course, we would love to have you attend the event as well.

My telephone number is 716-348-3000 extension 407.

Hoping that you are well and that you will consider making a donation.
